Dolly by Design FREE Giveaway!!!!!!!!!

Okay as you can see I haven’t posted anything in about two weeks, and that makes me very sad (and at the same time it makes me feel like I’ve been slacking at this whole blogging thing!) SHAME ON ME!

I hope you all can forgive my absence, I have been extremely busy with so many projects for Dolly by Design, my (VERY MUCH SIDE HOBBY) photography business Twelve16Photography, and other Nashville endeavors as well! Nonetheless, I don’t want to neglect sharing my thoughts about what is going on with Dolly by Design!

So I have been getting a ginormous (what I feel is ginormous) amount of orders for my TearDrop Earrings which I featured two weeks ago (modeled by the beautiful Kara Philpot). They have been private orders (not Etsy orders which explains why there haven’t been many postings on my Etsy page) and it’s been an overwhelming blessing to me! I constantly want to stop and thank GOD because HE constantly surprises me and blesses me with new opportunities to create for Dolly by Design!  It’s interesting because I made a conscience decision this time last year that I was going to embark on this fun and creative adventure, and I had to set realistic expectations for myself that, “Things may not even sell Dolly! So you need to do this more as a creative outlet and hobby, and if you sell things, you sell things! The important aspect of this outlet is for you to have fun and experience joy in creating things!” (Yes, I tend to talk to myself ALOT…and I think it’s because I was an only child growing up!)

But creating ‘part-time’ as a hobby (mental outlet) this past year has been a HUGE stress reliever for me, and it has brought me an abundant amount of joy because I literally feel like I’m glorifying GOD in using some of the talents He’s blessed me with! PLUS, I have been able to contribute more to my yearly India Mission Trip and church family (Ethos) because of this hobby! So thank you GOD for this outlet!

Okay, sorry I went on a huge tangent! I tend to get side tracked really easily-but now we are getting back to the focus of this post: a Dolly by Design FREE GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!

Because of my success in Tear Drop Earring Sales this month, I am going to give away a FREE PAIR of Dolly by Design Tear Drop Earrings (color TBA). Usually these earrings run $12.50 (+shipping) for a pair in my shop, but one lucky winner will win a fun and colorful pair (with free paid shipping) by the end of August! WOOT WOOT!!!! (that’s me being excited!!!!)

Okay, so here are the rules: This contest for the FREE GIVEAWAY will last up until the end of August. Everyone has one month to share this post, like my shop “Dolly by Design” on Facebook, and tell me on the “Dolly by Design” Facebook page where you would wear your teardrop earrings! Please NOTE: I am really wanting to get up to 500 likes as well, so please be working on sharing Dolly by Design with your friends and family on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, etc! The winner will be randomly selected and announced August 31st! So in quick recap: 1) Share this Post with your friends and family 2) Like “Dolly by Design” on Facebook, & 3) Tell me where you would wear your TearDrop Earrings on my Dolly by Design FB page!

Here are some pictures of my Dolly by Design Tear Drop Earrings (pictured are my Sapphire TearDrop Earrings, Peach TearDrop Earrings, and Emerald Green TearDrop Earrings).

“And may the odds be ever in your favor” (Okay, this was a little dramatic of a statement-cause obviously no one is going to die for these earrings- I realize that…but I really love the Hunger Games and I wanted to incorporate this quote ESP since I’m having my first giveaway!)

LOVE YOU ALL! GOD BLESS!!!!!!

Dolly by Design Sapphire Tear Drop Earrings (featuring Kara Philpot)

Tonight’s post is dedicated to my sweet student worker, and friend, Kara Philpot. I have known Kara since she was a student at the University I work at, and it has been a continual blessing to get to know her through the years. As mentioned, Kara is one of my student workers in the office I work for, and seeing the qualities of a good (and HARD) work-ethic, a joyful spirit, a zest for life, and a deep sense of compassion for those around her has really shown me that GOD has truly blessed her with a good heart!

Did I mention that after graduation from her University (Lipscomb University-Nashville, TN), Kara moved into my house to be my roommate? So yes, she wears many a hat with her interactions with me as my student worker, friend, and now roommate-but- (even though I feel super old with younger roommates), I feel very blessed that I get to know this godly young woman! (I need to also insert that Kara is currently on post grad job hunt…so if you know of any Marketing jobs in the Nashville area…give her a call…she has an incredible work ethic)!

Kara has always been an encouraging supporter of “Dolly by Design” ever since I decided to embark on this journey of converting my Hobby into an Etsy Shop! She always loves looking through my inventory of what is being featured month to month, and she sometimes even gives me great ideas as to what to potentially make for the future! One of these ideas has been my  “Sapphire Blue Tear Drop Earrings”, which I just sold out of this Month in my shop (thank you Kara)! Kara was thrilled that these earrings were featured for the month of July (2013) so she even bought a pair for herself! She even graciously let me take some pictures of her wearing these Sapphire blue earrings, so that more people can be introduced to Dolly by Design! Enjoy!

Did I mention that Kara is kinda Sassy? I tried to capture this in the pictures as well, because this is another quality that makes me roll with laughter whenever she is helping me out in the office!

So let me again give  a huge SHOUT OUT of THANKS to Kara Philpot for letting me feature her in my Dolly by Design “Sapphire Blue Teardrop Earrings” post!!!!!

Also, if you are interested in ordering any teardrop earrings (of either Sapphire Blue, or of any other color) please message me (dolly.stang@lipscomb.edu) OR here is a link to my etsy page:https://www.etsy.com/shop/DollyByDesign.  If you are a bride planning a wedding and are wanting to give your bridesmaids a fun earring as a present, keep in mind you will need to place any custom orders with Dolly by Design at least 4-5 weeks ahead of time. If you are just wanting to order a smaller quantity (like a present for yourself or for a friend), message me and we can work on a custom order for you as well!

Thanks for reading! Happy Thursday and GOD bless!
